Austria's Minister for EU and Constitutional Affairs Karoline Edtstadler, who will visit Belgrade on Monday, emphasized that progress in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is necessary for the stability of the region.

"Progress in the dialogue is necessary for the stability of the region. We expect further constructive engagement of the parties in order to quickly implement all agreements," said Edtstadler in a statement for Kosovo Online.

She emphasized that Austria supports the European Union in its role as a mediator in the dialogue. On Monday, Edtstadler will talk with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Minister for European Integration Tanja Miscevic, and a visit to NALED is also planned, it was announced in Vienna.

The focus of the conversation will be Serbia's progress in the process of joining the European Union, due to the war in Ukraine.

"It is important that Europe be united, as a community of values, and that we do not allow division. This, of course, also includes the candidate countries, which are irreplaceable partners for us," emphasized Edtstadler.
During her visit to Belgrade, Edtstadler intends to pay tribute to the victims of the horrific murders that took place about 10 days ago.
