Elek: We cannot trust the authorities in Pristina; no one has been held accountable for the raids on the Kosovska Mitrovica Clinical Hospital Center

The President of the Serb List, Zlatan Elek, speaking about previous raids on the Kosovska Mitrovica Clinical Hospital Center (KBC), stated that the authorities in Pristina cannot be trusted and that he does not know whether such raids will happen again, emphasizing that no one has been punished for the previous incidents.

Elek highlighted that there have been two raids on the KBC Kosovska Mitrovica so far, one last year and one this year.

“We cannot trust the authorities in Pristina, and whether there will be more raids on the KBC or not, there is fear in any case because no one has been punished for those raids so far, and we have not received an explanation as to why they occurred. For any normal person, this creates fear,” Elek said.

Speaking about the newly formed Union of Women of the Serb List in Gracanica, Elek stressed that it is not an election campaign but rather a message that women should have a greater influence in politics.

The decision regarding participation in the elections on February 9 will be communicated to the public in due time, he emphasized.

“I would not interpret this as an election campaign but as regular activities of the Serb List, which seeks to prove through its example in the political struggle in Kosovo and Metohija that women have significant influence. That is why we formed the Union of Women of the Serb List,” Elek said, responding to a journalist's question.
