Escobar at the Embassy of Serbia in the USA: Know that we are with you in your grief

The special envoy of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, signed today the condolence book, which was opened at the Embassy of Serbia in the USA, after the tragedy at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Elementary School in Belgrade and the crime in Mladenovac.

"To the people of Serbia - On behalf of myself and the people of the United States of America, I offer my deepest condolences on this day of mourning. Please know that we stay by you in your friendship during your grief. Eternally your friend, Gabriel Escobar Deputy Assitance Secretary of State," Escobar wrote in the condolence book.

By the way, the Serbian flags at the Embassy in Washington, as well as at the Mission building in New York and the consulates in New York and Chicago were lowered to half-mast due to three days of mourning in Serbia.

The citizens of Washington DC leave flowers and toys in front of the Embassy of Serbia these days.

Consolence books were also opened in the consulates in New York and Chicago.
