After the Kosovo police entered the social welfare centers in North Mitrovica, Leposavic, and Zvecan, which operate within Serbia's system, the European Union stated that the structures supported by Serbia, which provide essential social services, should not be closed, as reported by Radio Free Europe.

"Neither health and educational institutions supported by Serbia, nor other structures supported by Serbia that provide basic social services, should be closed," said the written response from the European Commission's press service.

They also reminded Kosovo that the status of the structures and services supported by Serbia should be resolved through dialogue led by the EU.

The EU confirmed that the European Commission has been informed that the Kosovo police conducted new operations against structures supported by Serbia in the north of Kosovo.

The institutions in Brussels, as mentioned, are waiting for further details to determine all the facts.

"Closing existing structures that provide basic social services for Kosovo Serbs and other communities, without an agreed alternative arrangement in advance, negatively affects the daily life and living conditions of these communities and directly undermines efforts for normalization. These issues should be resolved between the parties," stated the European Commission.

The Commission added that the new envoy for the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue, Peter Sorensen, is ready to facilitate discussions.
