Serbia's Assistant Minister for European Integration, Miroslav Gacevic, responding to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement that the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities (CSM), demanded by Serbia, would undermine Kosovo's Constitution and that the same applies to guarantees for Orthodox churches and monasteries, emphasized that the formation of the CSM is essential as a first step in protecting the collective rights of Serbs.

Gacevic also pointed out that Kurti’s claim—that only four percent of the population are Serbs—is inaccurate.

"Kurti's claim that only four percent of the population in Kosovo and Metohija are Serbs is a blatant lie, but it reveals his real goal: to reduce that number below 1 percent," Gacevic stated on the social network "X."

He added that, meanwhile, the international community stands by passively, silently observing as Kurti works on expelling the remaining Serbs.

"Recently, there have been over 80 ethnically motivated attacks on Serbs, and the brutality of the so-called Kosovo police shows no signs of stopping," Gacevic wrote.
