German Embassy in Pristina: It is important to ensure that actions do not provoke tensions in the north and further escalation

The German Embassy in Kosovo has stated that in the northern part of Kosovo, it was necessary to ensure that the actions did not provoke further escalation and high tensions, as reported by Nacionale.

In response to a query by the portal "Nacionale" regarding the membership of North Mitrovica in the Alliance of Kosovo Municipalities, the Embassy indicated that it was closely monitoring the developments in northern Kosovo.

"The German Embassy closely monitors developments in North Mitrovica and other municipalities in northern Kosovo. Ensuring that one action does not trigger an uncontrolled chain reaction leading to high tensions in the north is of the utmost importance," the response from the German Embassy stated.

Furthermore, the Embassy referred to the still-valid statement of the Quint from May 18 of this year. The Quint emphasized then that it was needed to hold new elections in the north and to avoid stoking tensions.
