Former President of the Constitutional Court Enver Hasani said that the Constitution of Kosovo, regarding the election of a Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from the Serbian community, is very clear, reports Klan Kosova.

“The Constitution is clear—if shepherds read it, they will understand it. The Constitution says: ‘communities are represented by those who receive the votes of the majority of members of the community.’ It is very clear,” Hasani said, according to Klan Kosova.

Speaking about the former European Union Special Envoy for the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, Hasani said there would be no direct consequences for the Ohrid Agreement following Lajčák’s resignation after the publication of the Epstein file.

Hasani emphasized to Klan Kosova that the Ohrid Agreement and the Brussels Agreement are part of Kosovo’s European integration mechanisms and are not subject to change.

“The Ohrid and Brussels agreements are embedded in Kosovo’s European integration mechanism and do not change. From day one I criticized Lajčák; I said: ‘He led Kurti wherever he wanted.’ I knew Lajčák was leading him wherever he wanted, and he achieved his goal,” Hasani said.

He added that Albin Kurti concluded the most damaging agreements for Kosovo, from 1945 to the present day, precisely through the Ohrid Agreement.

“The greatest loss is that we are not included in the Council of Europe,” Hasani said.
