Pristina journalist and analyst Leart Hoxha told Kosovo Online on the occasion of tomorrow's visit to Kosovo by the Special EU Envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, and the American emissary Gabriel Escobar, that they were coming to present concrete proposals and steps and deadlines in which they should be implemented in order to de-escalate the crisis in the north.

Special EU Representative, Miroslav Lajcak, and American envoy Gabriel Escobar will be in Kosovo and Serbia on Monday and Tuesday, in order to engage in the de-escalation of tensions in the north of Kosovo.

Hoxha points out that Lajcak and Escobar come with specific proposals.

"The more specific the deadlines and proposals that the parties should undertake, the faster we will have a solution, and it will be known how the situation can return to some kind of normalcy," he says.

He adds that, according to him, returning to the situation that existed before the outbreak of the latest crisis in the north of Kosovo is not a solution.

"The situation that was before, before the latest events in the north of Kosovo, was also not normal, so returning to the previous situation would not be a great triumph. In order to ensure peace, it is necessary to work on complete normalization between Kosovo and Serbia, and that means that it should be determined which side should fulfill the obligations from the Brussels and Ohrid agreements by which deadline. This is expected. Also, the date of new elections in the north of Kosovo should be known, and when that is determined, we will also know other steps," Hoxha concluded.

According to some Albanian media, Lajcak and Escobar will also visit the north of Kosovo.
