Jablanovic's party: CEC to stop the election comedy and cancel the mandates of our candidates for councilors

The Party of Kosovo Serbs, headed by Aleksandar Jablanovic, announced that their candidates for councilors, Slavisa Jevtic and Milutin Ilic, had won mandates in the Leposavic Municipality Assembly with only one vote each in the local elections on April 23, and had requested the Central Election Commission of Kosovo to cancel them, Danas writes.

"This is a confirmation that the electoral process has failed, that it is doomed to failure, and that its results can cause nothing but laughter and amazement. Nowhere and never in the world has anyone been elected to a seat in the local assembly with only one single vote, and on the position of mayor with only 100 votes," the announcement of the Party of Kosovo Serbs reads.

They also call on the Central Election Commission (CEC) to, as they say, "stop this comedy" and cancel the mandates won based on only one vote each.

The Party of Kosovo Serbs withdrew from participating in the local elections in the north of Kosovo two days before they were to be held, but their candidates remained on the ballots.
