Kozarev and Haimbe: Zambia reaffirms support for Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

Secretary General of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dusan Kozarev, hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zambia, Mulamba Haimbe, who is on an official working visit to Serbia.

According to a statement from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a working lunch held in a friendly atmosphere, Zambia reaffirmed its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.

The meeting also acknowledged the traditional closeness between the two nations, rooted in Yugoslavia’s support for Africa’s decolonization and the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement. A range of issues important for further strengthening bilateral ties were also discussed.

It was noted that there is a mutual interest in cooperation in the fields of information technology, infrastructure, and critical raw materials, as well as in targeted development aid that Serbia provides to partners like Zambia.

The two sides agreed to intensify the exchange of official visits and to expand the bilateral legal framework.
