Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic emphasized today, regarding Kenya's recognition of Kosovo, that the Kosovo authorities and certain Western European countries have been working on this for two and a half years, but also announced that in the next 10 to 15 days, Serbia will "surprise one country" from that region near Kenya.

"We have been trying and fighting in every way to stop this. For two and a half years, they have been working in Kenya, and some Western European countries have been involved, sending their high representatives directly to Nairobi. They worked on this issue with the Resolution on Srebrenica as well. At that time, we managed to get Kenya to abstain, which was a surprise for many," Vucic explained in the program "Oko" on RTS.

He pointed out that he had spoken with William Ruto, the man who replaced President Kenyatta.

"I spoke with him in New York, asking him not to do this, even though I knew how much pressure they were under to take such a step. Kenya did it, and you saw the main actor behind it. It was Pacolli on one side, but don't forget that large Western European countries, primarily those that helped Kosovo's independence recognition, also played a role. Kenya did it, and we saw the main actor, Behgjet Pacolli on one side, but don't forget that large Western countries helped as well," Vucic stressed.

He pointed out that he is proud of the fact that during his leadership, 28 countries withdrew their recognition of Kosovo, unlike those who, as he said, only look for criticism, during whose time 92 countries recognized Kosovo and none withdrew recognition.

"They look for the guilty party in everything and everyone, and now it was Tamara Vucic’s fault that she visited Kenya five months ago. This speaks more about them, and she just did her job seriously," the President of Serbia added.

Vucic announced that Serbia will continue to fight, and the results will soon be visible, waiting only for permission to announce them.

He said that Serbia is under pressure from all sides, with an internal colored revolution, and added that there is also the issue with NIS, for which sanctions will take effect tomorrow.

He emphasized that he hopes for a delay of the sanctions, but also added that he does not believe in it.

He pointed out that there are many issues in the region.

"Now we have this problem, and we must send our delegates to East Africa where Kenya has its influence. We will talk to everyone in East Africa to ensure that this does not spread. Then, in the next 10 to 15 days, we will surprise one country from that region near Kenya, and another one with which we will again surprise the great powers," the President of Serbia announced.

Finding a Compromised Solution Is the Only Possible Option for Banja Luka and Sarajevo

Vucic said that Serbia has already sent objections to Interpol regarding the arrest warrants issued for President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik and Assembly President Nenad Stevandic, as they are citizens of Serbia.

"We have already acted, because both Dodik and Stevandic are citizens of Serbia, and we sent objections to Interpol, requesting that the arrest warrants be revoked, as these are political cases. It will take a few days before we get a response, and then we will see if they accept or reject it. My plea is for everyone to understand how unbearable this situation is, but unfortunately, I am not sure that everyone heard me, although they listened to me. The stance I heard is that they are still considering it," he emphasized.

He underlined that it is good that both in Serbia and the world, people understand how unbearable the situation is when the president, the speaker of parliament, and the prime minister of one entity are being pursued.

"Unfortunately, I'm not sure that everyone heard me, even though they listened, and in this game, I would say I best defined the stance I heard, which is that they are still considering it and will see what actions will be taken. I believe that finding a compromise solution is the only possible option for both Banja Luka and Sarajevo, and for the international community. If that doesn't happen, we are close to a complete catastrophe," Vucic warned.

For the first time, the two most powerful figures in the EU organized a dinner for the President of Serbia, and some are upset

Regarding his talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel, Vucic stated that it was the first time in history that the two most powerful figures in the EU organized a dinner for the President of Serbia, but also noted that some people are unhappy with the respect Serbia is receiving in Europe and the world, which makes him sad.

"I was received by Antonio Costa and Ursula von der Leyen, just me. The three of us were alone at the meeting, and then I heard that many, like Schieder and others, made up what happened at that meeting. I don’t know how they could know, because no one else was at the meeting, not even my associates," said Vucic.

He mentioned that he does not agree with everything European officials say.

"I agree with what they said, it was a great meeting, we understood what our tasks are. I said what I think about the different actions the EU is taking," the President of Serbia conveyed.

He emphasized that the European path is extremely important for Serbia, which must intensify its efforts and work harder and more diligently to fulfill its obligations.

Vucic also said that von der Leyen and Costa did not talk about a transitional government.

"We had a good conversation, an important one, and I believe that Serbia will benefit from it. I believe we will soon become a member of SEPA," Vucic stated.

He added that Serbia's current problem is that it is seeing a decline in industrial production by 1.8%.

"Thanks to blockages and the irresponsible behavior of people. For the first time, we are seeing a decline in tourism, issues with maintaining our credit rating, and problems in everything. When you destroy your own country, you must tell people what the consequences are," Vucic said.

Consultations about the new government to begin on Monday

Vucic announced that consultations regarding the composition of the new government will begin on Monday.

"We will see what those who have the majority will say, whether they want to form a new government or go for elections. I am waiting for the representatives of the majority to first tell me whether they want a government or if we should let the time run out and go for elections," the President said.

Regarding the mandate holder, he stated that it is not for him to think about, but for SNS President Milos Vucevic and the leadership of the party.
