Kusari-Lila: I agree with my colleagues in the government that U.S. gas infrastructure is unnecessary in Kosovo

Acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation Mimoza Kusari-Lila said that the issue of U.S. gas should be considered on the basis of facts and economic analysis, stressing that the discussion cannot be framed as being "for or against America."

"We never sat down to discuss the benefits, challenges, or obligations we would be assuming. Instead, it turned into a kind of unstoppable narrative portraying this as an anti-American government that does not want gas," Kusari-Lila said, as quoted by Gazeta Express.

She emphasized that "there cannot be an anti-American government that comes from a pro-American people."

Kusari-Lila added that she agrees with her colleagues in the Kosovo government that U.S. gas infrastructure in Kosovo intended for households is unnecessary.

"I agree with my colleagues in the government that infrastructure related to households and the distribution of a gas network throughout Kosovo is unnecessary. We have never had a history of using gas," Mimoza Kusari-Lila said.
