French President Emmanuel Macron stated this evening that Paris is concerned about Kosovo's unilateral actions, which, as he emphasized, do not send a good signal. He added that his country will continue to closely monitor the conditions in which Serbs live in Kosovo and remains committed to the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM).

In a joint address with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Macron noted that the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is an integral part of the process of rapprochement with the European Union, a topic that has been widely discussed in several European capitals.

He pointed out that this issue will not be resolved without compromises from both sides and without the political courage to reach a solution.

In this regard, he congratulated the Serbian authorities on the decisions made at the end of last year to begin implementing the Ohrid Agreement.

"With our European partners, we have expressed how concerned we are about Kosovo's unilateral actions, which do not send a good signal. Rest assured that France will continue to pay close attention to the conditions in which the Serbian community in Kosovo lives. In this regard, we are particularly committed to the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities," Macron stated.

He added that his main message today is one of determination and trust.

"We will continue to support European mediation efforts to achieve progress in relations between Kosovo and Serbia, which is crucial for the Western Balkans region. This will improve your relations with all partners, leading to free movement and a better life for all citizens," Macron said.
