Maksimovic: I received threats; this is pressure on me and my colleagues from the Serb List
The MP of the Serb List in the Parliament of Kosovo, Zoran Maksimovic, from Ranilug, told Kosovo Online that the throwing of an explosive device at his bar, which was a part of the family house, was preceded by threats he received through the "Viber" application, and that he believes that it is the pressure on him and his party colleagues to submit their resignations in the parliament.
Maksimovic was on vacation outside of Kosovo at the time of the incident, and he was informed about the throwing of the explosive device by neighbors the next day.
"I was on vacation, in Greece, I was not at home. The night before last, around 12:40, a hand grenade was thrown in the garden of my bar, which is next to my house, in the yard. I was notified the next day when the neighbors saw shrapnel on the wall of the house," Maksimovic said.
The case was reported to the Kosovo Police, however, the report from Pristina is still awaited, Maksimovic claims.
He is afraid for his safety and that of his family, because, as he says, the throwing of the explosive device was preceded by threats, which he received through the "Viber" application.
In the messages he received, which were deleted at the same time, it was written, claims Maksimovic, "Stop double salaries", "Remove the directors", "Last warning"...
"I'm afraid that all this has a political background, I have no enemies here. I think this is a pressure on me, as an MP, and on my colleagues in the Assembly of Kosovo, to be afraid and to resign, because such an atmosphere was created in Pristina by the ruling party. For days and months, the members of the Serb List have been in the media," Maksimovic said.
The Kosovo Online team visited Ranilug today, and the locals claim that the throwing of explosives right next to their neighbor's family home brought unrest and fear, as well as concern for the further survival of the Serbs in that area.
