Mazreku: The EU should invest in a final resolution of outstanding issues between Serbia and Kosovo

Avni Mazreku, a professor of European law, commenting on today’s visit to Pristina by Peter Sorensen, the EU’s representative for the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue, said he believes this will be a very important year for many open issues concerning the European continent.

“We are going through a period in which frozen conflicts appear to be in their final phase. I think the European Union and Western powers should invest in these open issues. One of those issues is Serbia’s non-recognition of Kosovo and a final resolution of the outstanding problems between Serbia and Kosovo,” he told Kosovo Online.

Mazreku added that he expects significant investments in diplomatic activities this year aimed at resolving outstanding issues.
