Michel: It's important for Belgrade and Pristina to return to the table and for the agreements to be implemented

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, stated that one of the topics at the EU leaders' summit had been the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. It was emphasized that it was important for the leaders of both sides to return to the table and implement previously reached agreements, RTV reports.

He reiterated, during a press conference following the summit's conclusion, that two important separate meetings had been held on Thursday with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, and that It was crucial to achieve the normalization of relations.

"We emphasized the importance of that. The meetings stressed the importance of leaders returning to the table and implementing agreements," Michel said.

When asked by reporters about the details of yesterday's meetings, he stated that the leaders had been informed of what was expected from them, which was to implement the reached agreements.

"Above all, the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, and secondly, the agreement on the stamps should be applied. The most important thing is that the agreements are implemented. We will be checking this, and there will be consequences for both non-implementation and implementation," Michel said.

Regarding today's summit, Michel stated that the topics discussed included Gaza, Ukraine, migrations, and the South Caucasus.
