Milivojevic: Serbian demands clear and precise; this will affect whether there will be a dialogue

Former diplomat Zoran Milivojevic estimated that it was possible there would be an escalation in the territory of Kosovo because the Serbs were "on the edge", Pink TV channel reported.

He said that on the occasion of today's meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Brussels and emphasized that Kosovan Serbs’ demands were clear.

"The Serbian side is determined in its demands. The level of engagement in verbal positions has been raised. Serbian demands are clear and precise, and this will affect whether there will be a dialogue," said Milivojevic.

Dragana Mitrovic from the Faculty of Political Sciences said that today's meeting was announced as an activity that should prevent further escalation of the situation.

"We heard that Pristina postponed the implementation of those measures. You might be asking, what is so urgent then? From our point of view, it was simple to calm down, it was only needed to order the henchmen and the so-called Prime Minister of Kosovo to cancel, or postpone the decision further. We can only wait and see the outcome and hope that, whatever happens in Brussels, even if Vucic returns without results, it is important that there is no escalation on the field because the security of lives in the north of Kosovo and Metohija is threatened," Mitrovic said.

She added that we can only hope that the worst-case scenario would not happen.
