Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France: We welcome the brave decision of Kosovo and Serbia to implement the provisions of the CSM

Serbia and Kosovo have agreed in principle to the European proposal for a basic agreement aimed at normalizing relations, France welcomes this bold decision, according to a statement from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"France welcomes this brave decision of the two countries. We now expect Serbia and Kosovo to engage without reservation and in the same spirit of compromise in the implementation of this essential agreement for the stability of the Western Balkans. France also reminds that all agreements already concluded within the Dialogue led by the European Union must be implemented without delay, including the provisions related to the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities," according to the statement issued on the occasion of the meeting held yesterday in Brussels under the auspices of Josep Borrell.

It is added that France remains fully mobilized, in support of European mediation, in order to achieve rapid progress aiming to normalize relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
