Basri Muja, a professor of political science from Pristina, told Kosovo Online that he expects Gljauk Konjufca, who currently holds the position of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to be the person responsible for talks with Serbia, given that the name of Besnik Bislimi, who was First Deputy Prime Minister and Pristina’s chief negotiator in the previous mandate, does not appear in the new Government.

Bislimi has held the position of chief negotiator since 2021, and Muja assesses that he performed that role well.

“Bislimi is a politician of what I might call a hard line. I think he did his job well, however difficult the talks with Serbia can be. I also believe that the question of the success of those talks does not depend much on one person. No matter how strong one representative may be, that is not decisive,” Muja said.
