Fehmi Mujota, a member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, assessed that since 2014, Kosovo had lost its way in finding a quick and easy solution in the dialogue with Serbia, as well as that Kosovo would not be able to receive recognition from Serbia, Ekonomia online reports.

Mujota also said that Kosovo had to respect the signed agreements.

"We have lost our way since 2014, to find faster, easier, and more acceptable solutions, within the framework of international documents. Kosovo must present itself as a serious state, it must respect the agreements it has made and is making. They were within the framework of legality and of the constitutionality of Kosovo, but also of international law. If a solution had been reached before 2015, it would have been easier and better," Mujota told Teve1.

According to him, Kosovo will not be able to receive recognition from Serbia.

"Extending the 'non-finalization' of recognition between Kosovo and Serbia will always leave opportunities for other dilemmas and demands. If we had followed a different path three years ago, we would have had a chance, but now it is too late. Kosovo will not be able to get recognition from Serbia," Mujota believes.

He also stated that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani had had different paths on the political scene, but that they are now "tying a political rope around their necks".

"Apparently, on the path they followed, they will not reach the maximum that should have been achieved," Mujota said, adding that Kurti and Osmani had left a bad mark in their political past.
