The Municipality of Strpce terminates cooperation with the Privatization Agency of Kosovo

The leadership of the Municipality of Strpce, headed by President Dalibor Jevtic, made a decision to freeze any cooperation with this institution due to non-compliance with the agreement by the Privatization Agency of Kosovo, which they were informed about in writing this morning.

"For the purpose of true and full transparency and so that the citizens of the municipality of Strpce would be aware of the truth, we hereby point out that the Privatization Agency of Kosovo, following the directive of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with the direct influence of Nenad Rasic, appointed new members of the board of directors of "Brezovica", to be precise, two members in front of the Serbian community, while one of the two new members from the Albanian community is a resident of South Mitrovica, although one of the points of agreement was that all members of the board should be residents of the Strpce municipality," it was stated on the Facebook page of the Municipality of Strpce.

They add that the Municipality as an institution will continue to act on this issue by analyzing the information they received from citizens regarding the process of selecting members of the board of directors due to indications that there was falsification of documents by some candidates, now members of the board of directors of Brezovica.

"Additionally, the Municipality informed the international representatives about this new one in a series of unilateral political decisions of the Government of Kosovo, which aims to further destabilize the situation in the Municipality of Strpce. The Municipality of Strpce does not recognize and will not have any cooperation with the new board of directors of Brezovica and on the other hand, it will stand by the workers and management of this company, just as President Jevtic himself promised in the conversation with the workers in December 2021. We call once again for the Agency to cancel the decision that was made and, for the sake of stability and further cooperation, to return to the agreement achieved in December 2021," the announcement stated.
