Office for Kosovo and Metohija: Attacks on the Serbs are a direct consequence of the messages of irresponsible politicians from Pristina
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that the representatives of the international community should be aware that the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija lived in constant fear for their own lives due to the various atrocities they were exposed to daily and in connection with the new incident in which the house of Dragisa Miric had been ransacked and robbed last night in the village of Batushe.
"In the village of Batushe near Kosovo Polje, the house of Dragisa Miric was ransacked and robbed tonight, while he was not home. About 300 Serbs are living in this Serbian village today, and incidents like this only contribute to making them feel unsafe and like the targets of Albanian hooligans and rioters. There is no doubt that such events do not contribute to the calming of tensions on the ground and for the Serbs who are left to live in already difficult living conditions in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, they directly threaten the existence and sustainable survival of their centuries-old hearths," the statement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija states.
As it was added, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija expected the burglars to be arrested and prosecuted.
"Continuous attacks on the Serbs are a direct consequence of the messages of irresponsible politicians from Pristina, who sow hatred towards everything Serbian, and with the policy of impunity they give the wind at the backs of hooligans and incite new attacks aimed at creating unrest among the Serbs," the statement said.
