The Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that the beating of Serbian young men Djordje M. (24) and Lazar Dj. (23) in Josanica near Leposavic was a real picture of the reality in which the Serbs were forced to live in Kosovo and Metohija.

"Those boys were subjected to torture by members of the ROSU special police last night for no reason or reason, and the most terrible thing is that the excessive use of force and the application of police torture is not a mere incident, but a direct order from the authorities in Pristina to torture the Serbs at every step and are intimidating," the statement said.

The Office says that policemen of Albanian nationality have nothing to look for in the north of Kosovo and Metohija and that their presence is illegal and directly contrary to the Brussels Agreement.

They warn that apparently, the task of ROSU Special Forces in the north is terror and intimidation, which, as they assess, they are showing more and more openly.

"At a time when, with the mediation of international representatives, space is being sought for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, on the ground, Pristina is still making efforts to achieve the exact opposite and to further damage Serbian-Albanian relations and deepen the inter-ethnic gap. There is not and there can be no justification for this kind of brutal behavior by the police, and that is why we expect international organizations and Brussels to clearly condemn this and similar incidents, and from Prishtina to set an example for others to punish violent police officers, because otherwise, every bully in a police uniform will have permission to harass and beat at his own choice and discretion," the Office said.

The Office states that the families of the young men were immediately received by the President of the Provisional Authority, Zoran Todic, who offered them help and support.
