Orlic: Conversation is an incomparably better solution than violence, but Kurti does not want the dialogue
The President of the Serbian Assembly, Vladimir Orlic, stated that the situation in Kosovo was very difficult and that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti wanted to provoke an open conflict that would lead to escalation and Serbian reactions, as reported by Euronews Serbia.
According to him, there is an organized campaign of terrorizing Serbs on the scene, led by Kurti, with the ultimate goal being Kosovo without Serbs.
"Everything that has happened is a result of the tyranny led by Kurti with the intention of provoking an open conflict that would lead to escalation. He wants to provoke any reaction from the Serbs who can no longer endure the terror to use it and involve Serbia in a conflict with NATO," Orlic said.
He emphasized that it was not in Serbia's interest for such an escalation to occur.
"Any claim that Serbia benefits from escalation, like what happened in the village of Banjska, is the most perfidious lie," Orlic said, adding that it was clear to everyone that such a thing was in Kurti's interest.
As he stated, Serbia wants dialogue and sustainable solutions while preserving peace and stability.
"Conversation is a much better solution than any violence, but it is Kurti who does not want dialogue at all," Orlic stressed.
He pointed out that no member of the Kosovo Police had the right to be present in Serbian communities in the north and that it had been established in the agreements that Kurti violated.
Orlic stated that Serbia, as the guarantor of the Dayton Agreement, insisted on explicit respect for all its provisions, and he emphasized that there was nothing contentious about the special relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska.
"When we talk about the integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia always says that it respects them unreservedly. We do not deviate from this rule, and we expect everyone to treat us the same way," Orlic said.
He mentioned that the special relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska were established in relevant agreements and that they had resulted in numerous infrastructure projects jointly realized or being realized in all parts of Republika Srpska, as well as in some parts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Orlic emphasized that in the interest of the Serbian people, official representatives of Republika Srpska and Serbia should always have the best possible relations.
