The OSCE Mission in Kosovo issued a reaction after the CEC today failed to certify the Serb List for participation in the 28 December elections, expressing disappointment and concern. The OSCE condemned actions that, as stated, undermine the right of political entities to participate in elections, TV1 reports.

The OSCE stated that such actions represent a clear departure from internationally accepted electoral standards.
“We are seriously concerned about the increasing political polarization within the CEC, reflected in conduct that appears to be driven by party interests rather than legal criteria and democratic principles. Such behavior undermines the impartiality and credibility essential for an independent election management body. These actions risk eroding public trust in the electoral process and reinforcing the perception that decisions are politically motivated rather than guided by fairness, inclusivity, and transparency,” the statement reported by TV1 reads.
The OSCE Mission called on the CEC and all political actors to uphold professionalism, impartiality, and democratic standards, ensuring that the 28 December elections are conducted fully in accordance with established international best practices.
