Petkovic: Bombs thrown at homes of the Serb List Representatives in Ranilug - brutal intimidation
During the night in the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District, three bombs had been thrown at the homes of representatives and leaders of the Serb List, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic announced today, and assessed that the incident had occurred to intimidate people and compel them to leave their homes, all with the aim of ethnic cleansing of the Serbs, which Albin Kurti was continuously implementing.
"At around 2:30 a.m., a bomb was first thrown into the yard of Srdjan Ristic in Ranilug, director of the Preschool Institution 'Pcelica Maja.' Significant material damage was caused, but fortunately, family members were unharmed. At the same time, a bomb was thrown at the family house and garage of Vladica Aritonovic in the village of Glogovce, who is the Deputy Mayor of the Ranilug Municipality.
Significant material damage was also caused here, and no one was injured in the attack. During the night, an explosive device was thrown at the house of Zoran Ristic from Ranilug, Director of the Center for Social Work, but there was no explosion," Petkovic states in the press release.
He emphasized that this was a "brutal intimidation of representatives of the Serb List, which comes just a few days after threats from Albin Kurti that the Serbs and the Serb List will 'suffer and pay.'"
Kurti, he notes, began to implement his plan first by arresting three Serbs, and now bombs have been thrown at three Serb houses.
"We expect that these cowardly attacks on representatives of the Serb List will be taken seriously and investigated because they send a clear message and threat to the Serbs to leave their ancestral homes. The Office will inform international representatives about these synchronized and orchestrated attacks because acts with elements of terrorism must not be taken lightly," Petkovic concludes.
