Petkovic: Kurti’s hellish revenge plan against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said that the decision of the representatives of the Serb List to carry out a technical verification of their mandates today in the Kosovo Parliament did not in any way mean the return of the Serb List to Pristina institutions.

"Everything remains as the Serbs clearly and loudly said in the conclusions of November 5 - there is no return to the Pristina institutions until the illegal decision of Pristina on re-registration is withdrawn and the CSM is formed. I want to be absolutely clear, the reason for the verification of these mandates by the representatives of the Serb List is only because we have come to the latest information that Kurti is preparing a hellish plan to take revenge on the Serbian people in Kosovo," said Petkovic.

According to him, Kurti's plan was to fill the places guaranteed for the representatives of the Serb List with those Serbs who support Pristina and Kurti, not Belgrade and not the Serbian people in Kosovo.

"We are talking about the lists of Rasic, Petkovic and Rada Trajkovic. We are talking about political parties that are absolutely minor, that almost do not exist in Kosovo and Metohija, for which in the last elections somewhere between 0.17 and 0.05 percent of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija voted, we are talking about representatives of political parties that are at the level of statistical mistakes," Petkovic says.

Petkovic added that in order to prevent that scenario, a technical verification of the mandate was carried out by the representatives of the Serb List.

"Deputies of the Serb List, who verified their mandates and immediately left the assembly, will not return to it. This was done exclusively in order to keep those seats so that Kurti would not start with the hellish plan to change the so-called constitution of Kosovo, which guarantees certain rights First of all, he would start immediately to change the so-called Article 144, which enables the Serbian community, that is, the Serbian List, which has been in the parliament until now, to prevent the adoption of anti-Serb laws," Petkovic added.

Petkovic explained that Article 144 was almost the strongest weapon in the hands of the representatives of the Serb List, because without a two-thirds majority, i.e. without the votes belonging to the representatives of the Serbian community, there is no adoption of those laws that would benefit Pristina.

"If the scenario were to come true that Rasic's people, Rada Trajkovic’s, Slavisa Petkovic's people, who have no legitimacy and for whom almost no one voted in the KiM, would sit in those seats, what would happen? Kurti would immediately start changing the constitution, changing Article 144, where he would take away the strongest weapon that the Serb list and the representatives of the Serbian people have in Kosovo," Petkovic said.

According to him, Kurti would immediately begin to take away the rights of Serbs by passing laws on vital interest by abolishing Serbian municipalities, especially south of the Ibar, abolishing the Serbian language as an official language, abolishing the key to voting according to the principle of double majority, he could form the army of Kosovo and, as Petkovic added, he would no longer have any obstacles to start forming "Greater Albania".

"Their current constitution says that Kosovo cannot join another state, and if they had these Rasic’s people, Rada Trajkovic’s and Slavisa Petkovic's people, they could change that nicely and enter the procedure of creating Greater Albania. Not to mention that by changing the vital laws on the protection of cultural heritage, all our heritage would be called Kosovo heritage, that they would call into question the survival and position of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo, change the laws related to municipal elections, abolish our national symbols, religious holidays, etc.“ Petkovic emphasized.

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija said that Albin Kurti's real intentions, with those people who have Serbian names and surnames, and who work exclusively in the interest of Pristina, have been discovered.

"In order to stop this, in order to stop this hellish plan, the representatives of the Serb List made the very decision to technically verify the mandates in the Pristina parliament in order to preserve the survival and stay in Kosovo and Metohija and to show that the only real goal of the Serb List is to be a barrier to all to the anti-Serbian moves of Pristina and Albin Kurti. That is the sole reason, it is not a return to the Parliament, it is not a return to the institutions, it is not an agreement because there will be those who will say it is, but it is about the fact that we discovered Albin Kurti's vile plan and that with this move we thwarted that attempt of new terror against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija," Petkovic concluded.
