The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, responded to a statement by the German Embassy in Pristina, which called on him to "clean up his own doorstep before constantly reproaching Kosovo for its decisions." In his reply, Petkovic told the German Ambassador to Pristina, Jörn Rohde, that Kosovo and Metohija are Serbia’s own doorstep.

“Mr. Rohde, Kosovo and Metohija are Serbia’s doorstep and backyard,” Petkovic wrote on the social media platform X.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija recently informed all relevant international representatives about the ongoing persecution of Serbs and the violation of their rights.

The German Embassy in Pristina stated today that it had taken note of the letter in which Petkovic urged the European Union, its member states, and other stakeholders to stop Pristina’s escalatory actions and the planned construction of two new bridges over the Ibar River.

However, in its statement, the Embassy remarked that “one must put their own house in order before constantly reproaching Kosovo for its decisions.”
