Petkovic with Troccaz: Pristina has no willingness to establish the CSM or continue the dialogue

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic met in Belgrade with French Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Rene Troccaz to discuss the position of the Serbian people in Kosovo and the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

Petkovic pointed out to Troccaz, as he wrote on Instagram, Pristina's numerous escalatory, unilateral and unlawful actions, including arrests, the seizure and demolition of Serbian property, as well as violations of the fundamental rights of Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Church.

"I particularly stressed that there is no willingness in Pristina to establish the Community of Serb Municipalities, nor is there any political will to continue the dialogue in Brussels," Petkovic said.

He assessed that the authorities of Kosovo's caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti, instead of engaging in dialogue, are resorting to violent actions that undermine everything achieved so far and destabilize the situation on the ground.

Petkovic noted that the talks took place while Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was in Paris on a visit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

At the end of the meeting, Petkovic thanked Troccaz for France's willingness to hear the positions of Serbia and the Serbian people, especially regarding Kosovo.

"At the end, I thanked Mr. Troccaz for France's readiness to always hear the position of our country and our people, especially on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, and for its efforts to ensure peace and stability in this region through dialogue," Petkovic said.
