If the situation in the north worsened, there would be greater tensions that would not be so easily resolved. The sides were still very far apart. The events that have been taking place recently the decision on new license plates, and also the withdrawal of the Kosovan Serbs from Kosovo institutions, had created such a position that they could not say - we agreed, nothing happened, journalist Idro Seferi said for the Serbian news portal Nova.

He also said that he believed that the international community had been trying to find a solution and the other option was for the Kosovo police to issue fines of 150 euros daily for those who had KM plates.

"This will lead to a situation where Serbs protest, vehicles will be seized, and this may lead to a new blockade of the entire north. This also means the solution would be a few years further away," Seferi says.

He also said that Albin Kurti, from the Kosovo perspective, had the right to what he has been doing and that it had already succeeded several times, with identity cards and the disallowance of referendums and Serbian elections in Kosovo.

"I believe that he will go all the way this time. Although the situation is now a bit more complicated, and it can lead to tensions that will not suit the international community. But Kurti cannot withdraw, since he was against the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities and against negotiations in general. In the end, he had to negotiate, but he promised to defend Kosovo's sovereignty, even in the north," Seferi pointed out.
