The Serb List: The attack in Ugljare is a direct consequence of the anti-Serb rhetoric of Kurti's regime
The Serb List strongly condemned last night's incident in Ugljare, when unknown persons speaking in Albanian shot from a moving vehicle in the direction of the Serbian elementary school in that place, in whose yard children were at the time.
The Serb List points out that luckily none of the children were injured in this attack, but that this heinous act caused fear and anxiety among the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, especially in central Kosovo.
"This attack is a direct consequence of the anti-Serb rhetoric of Albin Kurti's regime, which until now, after the attack on the Serbs, has never distanced itself from the criminals who attack Serbian children, the Serbs, and their property, nor has it publicly called for the punishment of those responsible. Kurti's silence was obviously interpreted as a sign approving that, on the one hand, such attacks continue, and on the other hand, that the institutions responsible for security do not do anything to properly punish those responsible, or make sure that they act preventively and prevent new attacks," the Serb List said.
The Serb List states that "there is neither decision of the Government in Pristina nor the safari of Minister Svecla to send Special Forces to find those responsible for these crimes and prevent attacks on the Serbs".
"His goal is not to protect the Serbs but to harass and persecute them. We remind you that in the north there was not a single attack on Albanians, whom Svecla said were threatened, when he sent heavily armed parapolice formations to the north and after the attack on the Serbs in the south not a word was spoken of, nor is Pristina concerned about their vulnerability," the statement added.
The Serb List also asked those responsible in EULEX, KFOR, UNMIK, the European Office in Pristina, and the embassies of the Quint countries, when they would clearly and loudly condemn the attacks on the Serbs, demand the arrest and punishment of those responsible, and demand that the Kosovo institutions stop mistreating the Serbs and to finally ensure peace and security for the Serbs.
