The Serb List: EU to prevent Kurti from violating the license plate agreement
The Serb List, today, called on international representatives, and above all the European Union, to urgently prevent Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti from violating the agreement on license plates and thereby prevent further escalation of the situation on the ground.
"While international representatives are silent, the dictatorial regime of Albin Kurti continues with torture, mistreatment of the Serbs, and violation of signed agreements. Today, at the administrative crossings of Jarinje and Brnjak, contrary to the agreement from November last year, Kurti's police harassed our citizens and threatened to ban entry to Kosovo and Metohija. threatened to ban the use of motor vehicles with KM license plates, and directly took away the right to freedom of movement from our citizens", according to the press release of the Serb List.
The Serb List called on international representatives to urgently prevent Kurti from violating the license plate agreement and thereby prevent further escalation on the ground.
"First of all, the European Union and their representatives, who are responsible for the implementation of the agreement and who guaranteed our people that it would be respected when it had been signed. Peace is needed by everyone in this region except for Albin Kurti, who in just a few weeks made thirty moves that further brought unrest among our citizens, starting with the seizing of Serbian property, digging up local roads, and continuing the construction of an improvised special units base on the Bistrica bridge," The Serb List pointed out.
As they added, the European Union, as the guarantor of the agreement, had to urgently condemn the violation of the agreement and let Kurti know that he had to respect the signed agreement.
"The Serbs will not calmly watch the trampling of basic human rights and the violation of the agreements guaranteeing these rights of our people," the Serb List said.
