The Serb List: Under Kurti's regime, the promotion of a mono-ethnic Kosovo is clearly and publicly advocated

The Serb List has reacted to the fact that members of the KSF wore symbols of "Greater Albania" during the celebration of "Kosovo Security Force Day", demanding that KFOR, the EU, EULEX, UNMIK, and the Quint ambassadors urgently react to the promotion of a Nazi creation that caused the deaths of thousands of Serbs, Albanians, Roma people, and other peoples. They called for preventing the misuse of institutions to promote the Greater Albanian ideology, which instilled fear, insecurity, and unrest among all citizens.

In the statement from the Serb List, they emphasized that the talk about respecting the rights of the Serbs and the multiethnic character of Kosovo had remained only in formal statements by certain ambassadors and international representatives.

"Under the regime of Albin Kurti, the expulsion of everything Serbian from Kosovo and Metohija is in progress, along with the clear and public promotion of a mono-ethnic Kosovo. The latest evidence of our claims comes from today's marking of the so-called Kosovo Security Force Day, an armed formation that should not exist according to UN Security Council Resolution 1244, and whose members celebrate the event with Albin Kurti, using Greater Albania maps", the Serb List stated.

The statement emphasizes that "Greater Albania" was a creation that practically existed only during World War II as a Nazi entity that encompassed the territories of Albania, Serbia, Greece, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, and that collapsed after 1945 with the defeat of Nazism and fascism.

"Unfortunately, the idea of Greater Albania and its revival continues to live in the minds of extremists, but unfortunately, also in the political leaders in Pristina who promote it at the institutional level and work towards its revival on the ground before the eyes of the international community", the statement adds.

To make matters worse, in his speech, as stated by the Serb List, Albin Kurti spoke about this formation as the successor to the KLA, whose leaders were currently before the court in The Hague, accused of crimes committed against the Serbs, Albanians, and other citizens, further causing disbelief, fear, and concern among the Serbs. Similar comparisons were made by Kurti regarding the Kosovo Police Service, but since there was no reaction from international representatives at that time, despite our demands, it has happened again today.

The Serb List urges all those who embrace anti-fascist ideas and values, non-governmental organizations, prominent individuals, professors, and media workers to raise their voices and ask the responsible figures in the international community whether they support such actions by the regime of Albin Kurti and himself. It questions whether they now proudly stand alongside the KSF with whom their governments and armies cooperate, promoting Nazi creations from the last century. The statement asks whether these are the European values of the "most democratic country" in the Balkans, as Albin Kurti claims.

"Every evil that befell the Balkans began with such promotion of totalitarian and nationalist values and the silence of honest and responsible people. Our generation must not allow this to happen, so we call on everyone to react and prevent Albin Kurti's plans from being realized in time because it will bring unhappiness to all people in the Balkans who want to live in peace and dedicate themselves to a better future for their children", the statement concludes.
