Serbia and Bolivia sign visa waiver agreement for diplomatic passports

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and Bolivian Foreign Minister Hector Francisco Huanca Gutierrez signed an Agreement on the Abolition of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports, which, as they emphasized, represents a first step toward further strengthening ties between the two countries.

The agreement was signed in New York during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Djuric thanked Bolivia for its principled position regarding the “non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo,” as well as for the support Serbia receives from Bolivia on this issue in international organizations.

The Minister congratulated his Bolivian counterpart on his recent appointment and wished him a successful term in office.

The Serbian Foreign Minister pointed to opportunities for further deepening cooperation between the two countries, particularly through more intensive political contacts and exchanges of visits by officials at the high and highest levels.

Today’s meeting in New York also provided an opportunity for Djuric to convey that Serbia would greatly appreciate Bolivia’s participation in the Specialized Expo 2027 in Belgrade. He expressed hope that Bolivia would once again consider the possibility of taking part in the event, showcasing its potential to the numerous visitors and further contributing to stronger cooperation between the two countries.
