Serbian businessmen at Mar-a-Lago reception: Trump grateful to Serbian community for support
A group of businessmen of Serbian descent attended a gala reception last night at Mar-a-Lago, the stronghold of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump. During the event, they had discussions with several dignitaries, including Kash Patel, the incoming FBI Director, Serbian Times reports.
"Mr. Patel surprised us with his extensive knowledge of Serbia. It's immediately clear that he is a highly educated man. After all, President Trump wouldn't nominate someone for such an important position without good reason. He was very gracious and also expressed gratitude for the significant support Trump received from the Serbian community in America during the campaign," said Antonije Keljevic, one of the Serbian-American businessmen.
Prominent businessmen originally from Brnjak, in northern Kosovo’s Zubin Potok, Antonije and Aleksandar Keljevic also spoke last night with Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s son. Alongside the Keljevic brothers, the delegation of Serbian businessmen included Milos Dimitrijevic, Vladimir Vasiljevic, and Nikola Vasiljevic.
Keljevic highlighted that Donald Trump Jr. once again conveyed his father’s profound gratitude for everything the Serbian community has done to help him return to the White House.
"Trump is very aware of the support he received from Serbs—both those who voted for him and those who sponsored his campaign—and he is deeply appreciative. He also recognizes the strong support he has from Serbs living in Serbia. He’s seen public opinion polls in Europe indicating that Serbia is the country where he would receive the most votes as a candidate," Keljevic stated.
