Serbs in Leposavic "saw off" Minister Aliu with red paint and eggs

The Minister of Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, who entered the municipality building of Leposavic in the early morning hours, exited after half an hour, and gathered Serbs threw red paint and eggs at the jeep in which the minister was. He then departed with his entourage towards the police station.

Minister Aliu took advantage of a moment when a smaller number of people were gathered in front of the municipality building in order to visit the newly appointed mayor, Lulzim Hetemi, who had not left the building for the past 16 days.

As a reminder, on June 9th, KFOR refused to allow the Minister of Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, to visit the municipality building in Leposavic.

The residents of Leposavic have been protesting for 16 days in front of the municipal building to express their dissatisfaction with the imposition of illegal Albanian mayors in municipalities in the north and the presence of Kosovo Police Special Forces.
