American citizens of Serbian origin who participated in the support rally for the Republican candidate in the US elections, Donald Trump, in Milwaukee, expressed their satisfaction as they realized, thanks to the speakers, how much importance is being given to them. They say that Trump's victory would bring them better business opportunities in the USA.

One of them, who came to Milwaukee from Chicago, said he is very proud of the number of gathered citizens.

"We came from Chicago to support our compatriots in Milwaukee, and you can see that the hall is full here and there are very significant speakers, all of whom have said that American citizens of Serbian origin are very important for these elections," he said.

His compatriot mentioned that interest in the rally increased significantly after Saturday and the attempted assassination of President Trump.

The owner of a transportation company in Milwaukee of Serbian origin believes that someone like Donald Trump, who comes from the business world, could improve many things in different industries.

"Specifically for the transportation industry, where I am most involved, I think he understands the problems and would tackle them. The issues are the rising costs of fuel, insurance, and equipment, which, with high inflation, have been difficult to endure, but I think Trump is ready to address these problems and ease the burden on transportation company owners," he said.

An American citizen of Serbian origin who participated in the rally emphasized that family, faith, friendship, work, effort, and creating something are their top priorities.

"I believe that is also true for President Trump because he has lived his life that way, and his children, who have become successful businesspeople, are examples of that. I think he would reduce environmental regulations and things like that, allowing us to work, create something, and support our families and employees," he said.

The rally organized by Serbs from Milwaukee featured speeches by former US Special Envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Richard Grenell, US Senator Rod Johnson, Congresswoman and Co-Chair of the Serbian Caucus in the US Congress Claudia Tenney, and former Senator Rod Blagojevich.

The Republican National Convention began on Monday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and will continue until tomorrow when Trump is expected to give a speech.

The convention is being held according to the established plan and with unchanged security measures, despite the shooting on Saturday at a rally in Pennsylvania, where Trump was shot in the ear.

Trump announced on social media that he had considered postponing his trip to Milwaukee for two days but decided not to allow a "sniper or potential assassin to force him to make changes to the schedule or anything else."
