Starovic: NGOs request from Kosovo for the European Commission not to include the Serbs in visa liberalization is a continuation of discrimination
State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense Nemanja Starovic says that the EU invitation from Albanian NGOs in Kosovo not to include the Serbs in visa liberalization is just a continuation of systematic discrimination.
Starovic stated on the social network 'X' that if someone thought that comparing Kosovo to a 'violent spoiled child' had been a bit too much, they should look at the group of 20 prominent Kosovo (Albanian) non-governmental organizations calling on the EU not to include the Serbs in visa liberalization.
"Pause for a moment and think about the daily life of the Serbs in Kosovo. Systematically discriminated against by the interim authorities, harassed by special police thugs, unprotected by the judiciary, and now even targeted by the so-called civil society. They are the most disenfranchised ethnic group in modern Europe. As convenient as it may be to ignore this, turning a blind eye to the suffering of others is both uncivil and unhumane", Starovic emphasized.
