The former mayor of the Leposavic municipality, Zoran Todic, assessed that the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina reached in Brussels, was a rational decision that led to a stable situation necessary for everyone.

"KM license plates remain in use, so our residents who have registered vehicles with KM license plates can freely use them during the next period as well. So here, common sense prevailed and the question, of who needed all this, arises once again, the agony with registration marks lasts for more than a year," he said, for Euronews Serbia.

However, he could not specify what about those who, for example, have just bought a car.

"What I know and what I can tell you is that people who have registered vehicles with KM license plates can easily renew those license plates in Raska, and I don't have an answer to your second question at the moment, but I believe that the solution for such cases will be found in the future, and what is important to say is that KM license plates remain in force and what we know from the field, there are no longer even warnings in Jarinje for owners who use cars with KM license plates, there are no punitive measure that would certainly lead to deterioration on the ground and we can breathe a sigh of relief after this deal", he said.
