Uka: Municipal Assemblies of Leposavic and Zubin Potok voted to join the Association of Kosovo Municipalities

The councilors of the municipal assemblies in Leposavic and Zubin Potok have reportedly voted to join the Association of Kosovo Municipalities, according to Alban Uka, the Vice President of the Self-Determination Movement in South Mitrovica.

Uka stated on the social network X that the voting in local parliaments had happened today, and in the Municipal Assembly of Leposavic, the decision to apply for membership in the Association had been unanimously adopted.

Previously, the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica voted for this municipality to join the Association of Kosovo Municipalities. At the end of August, it was also admitted to the Association. The mayors elected in North Mitrovica and Leposavic in the elections on April 23, which were boycotted by Serbs and had a turnout of only about 3.5 percent, are from the ranks of the Self-Determination Movement, Erden Atiq and Lulzim Hetemi.

The mayor of Zubin Potok is Izmir Zeqiri from the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
