US Ambassador to the UN: Ohrid Agreement is historic, we call for its swift implementation

The US Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, praised the Ohrid Agreement, calling it a historic and legally binding agreement on the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, and she called for its swift implementation, as reported by Reporteri.

According to a statement by a spokesperson for the US Mission to the UN, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield commented on the agreement during a meeting in New York with Kosovo's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gervalla.

"Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield reiterated that the United States will remain actively engaged in supporting Kosovo and Serbia in fulfilling their obligations towards a stable and peaceful relationship," the statement said.

The statement also added that Thomas-Greenfield and Gervalla discussed the sustainable partnership between the United States and Kosovo, as well as their shared commitment to promoting stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans.
