Vucevic: The church is the target of attacks because it gathers the people; Kurti makes lists like during the Second World War
Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister, Milos Vucevic, was a guest on the program "Novo jutro", where he spoke about the dangerous accusations against the Serbian Orthodox Church, that it smuggled weapons through administrative crossings, but also about the latest list of the Serbs whom Pristina wanted to arrest.
Vucevic commented on the accusations of the British MP Kearns, who stated that weapons were being smuggled into Kosovo from Serbia with the help of the Serbian Orthodox Church, and stated that the church was the target of attacks because it gathered the people.
"The old Albanian lobbyist obviously does not shy away from anything, including such untruths. I saw that our church asked to check all these allegations, all these accusations and determine the real situation. The Serbian Orthodox Church is an apostolic church, and it is the target of the attack because it has always been a pillar of people's gatherings. It is also the target of all those who do not wish good for Serbia. You will also hear accusations that it interferes in all matters, that it has different views on some issues," he said.
He pointed out that the lists with the names of the Serbs, including the leaders of the Serb List, represented pressure on the people from Kosovo in order to evict entire families.
"Tensions are huge. There are worse things. They continue with stories about the new list of indicted Serbs, they put pressure. I saw last night that after 45 new names, 24 were added. They are doing what the Nazi and Fascist regimes did. They always liquidated and arrested those who were respectable in society and who resisted. We saw that matrix in the 20th century, to make lists that are for removing and people are afraid. I saw that on the list of alleged suspects, I say alleged because I don't know what they are suspected of, there are two leaders of the Serb List, Rakic and Simic, former mayors of the municipalities of northern Kosovo and Metohija. They also have various other methodologies to put pressure on the Serbs. An Albanian comes to Strpce, introduces himself as a representative of their intelligence service, sits in a cafe drinking coffee, puts a piece of paper in front of him, and says, "This is a list of 85 Serbs who will be arrested". Of course, it spreads and then the next day you have 20 families moving out," Vucevic said.
Commenting on the statement of former US President Bill Clinton, in which he said "Stop with nonsense" regarding the situation in Kosovo, Vucevic points out that he does not know what that statement means and to whom it refers.
"It is irritating that you are calling for peace on both sides. We have reduced the combat readiness of the army; reduced the presence on the location toward the administrative line. The goal of Serbia is not to go to war but to find a political dialogue. We are calming the situation, influencing our citizens in Kosovo and Metohija - which is increasingly difficult, because people are persecuted every day, and you tell us to calmly and democratically understand the circumstances," Vucevic said.
Kurti raised the ladder every time he was "stopped", Vucevic said and added that now, from the question of forming the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, and we had come to the basic things, which was to stop the arrest of the Serbs.
The explosion in North Mitrovica, which happened a few days ago, was evaluated by the minister as another attempt by Kurti to create a justification to increase or retain the contingent of Special Forces, in order to show force to the bare-handed people.
The Minister assessed the stopping of President Aleksandar Vucic's son, Danilo Vucic, in Kosovo and Metohija as an uncivilized procedure, and emphasized that he had been stopped with the intention of humiliating him and that it had not been a matter of routine control, that is, a stop.
"Danilo acted honorably, he did not tarnish the face of the family or the state. He was stopped with intent; they knew who was in the car. They wanted to humiliate him; they wanted to have footage of what they did to the son of the President of the state. This is all another proof that they are not alone and that this is not the state, this is not done by the state but by bandit creation," Vucevic said.
He stated that when the Serbian police had arrested three Albanian members of the Special Forces, they had acted in accordance with the law and international norms.
The Minister also referred to the conversation with the Minister of Defense of Italy Guido Crosetto in Rome and said that he had informed him about the situation in Kosovo and pointed out that he had been extremely correct and that the Italian side had decisively emphasized that the Albanian side was to blame for the escalation in the southern Serbian province.
"Last night I also spoke with the Vice-President of the Government of Italy, Matteo Salvini, who has an open attitude towards Serbia. He said that he was ready to appear in the media in the coming period and say that the Serbs were not to blame and that everything that was happening was unacceptable. They had a fair and correct relationship and understood the situation that befell our people in Kosovo and Metohija. I don't think they will change their strategic position in terms of recognition, but I think they understood that everything that is happening is an Albanian provocation," Vucevic said.
The Minister repeated that when it came to Kosovo and Metohija, a difficult period was ahead, but that they were also worried about the complications and increasingly complex relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that "Bosnia and Herzegovina can be even more complicated than Kosovo and Metohija".
Vucevic asked everyone not to underestimate Kurti because he was a man who was ready to follow his intentions to the end.
"He is a fanatic who acts irrationally, he lives for these situations. A fanatic who believes in the ideas and things he implements, and they are catastrophic and genocidal," Minister Vucevic said.
