Vucevic: The Washington Agreement would be immensely worth to us today
Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic said this evening in parliament that the Washington agreement on the normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo would be immensely worth to Belgrade today, reports B92.
"It was the only possible solution in the interests of Serbia in those circumstances, which is also proven by the fact that Pristina was the first to give it up," said Vucevic, responding to the criticism of the People's Party MP Miroslav Aleksic.
In response to the statement that the current government does not adhere to United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, Vucevic pointed out that the government that was led by the then president of Aleksic's party actually renounced that document.
"You did not adhere to the Constitution when you delivered officers of the Serbian Army, as well as many times from 2004 to 2011," the minister stated.
He also responded to Aleksic's insinuations about the collapse of the arms production company Jugoimport SDPR.
"Don't do with SDPR what you did with Krusik, because that company is not destroyed and it gets the biggest jobs," Vucevic emphasized.
The minister said that they had no right to give lessons on how to protect the state to those who "dismantled, sold and betrayed" it.
