Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that Foreign Minister Marko Djuric knew Kosovo extremely well and was fighting for it, recalling that Djuric himself had been arrested and mistreated in Kosovo. He said that Djuric's celebration of the Serb List's victory was justified, adding that when there was no longer a Serb List, there would no longer be Serbs in Kosovo either.

"My favorites are those who attack Marko Djuric, saying, 'Traitor, where are you now, what happened to that 5–0 for us?' No, I suppose he was expected to celebrate Kurti's victory rather than the Serb List's victory. The day we no longer have the Serb List, there will no longer be Serbs in Kosovo either. Rasic and his followers will remain. When I say the Serb List, I do not necessarily mean the Serb List itself, but someone who represents Belgrade and Serbia, among other things, as well as the Serbian people as a whole in Kosovo and Metohija," Vucic explained.

He added that there might be many things for which Djuric could be criticized, but not for failing to understand the situation in Kosovo or for not fighting for Kosovo.

"He was arrested by Thaci, mistreated, and beaten in the vehicle," the Serbian President recalled.

Asked today about the uncertainty in which Serbs in Kosovo were living, Vucic said that they were enduring terror not only from Albin Kurti but also, as he put it, from his Western supporters, adding that Kurti would not be doing everything he was doing to Serbs had he not been allowed to do so.

"How many articles did they publish claiming that Nenad Raskovic had been beaten because he had a gambling debt, that Serbs had beaten him... They published hundreds of articles, and then yesterday they had to admit that they were pursuing two police officers for torturing the man like that... What liars and scoundrels they are—they are not human beings. And those who support them and open the Ibar Bridge for them are the same kind of scoundrels, only worse. And then they pretend to be naive and clueless, as though they cannot see what is happening. The KFOR Commander is pretending not to see it, and so is everyone else," Vucic said.
