Vucic expresses concern for the security of the Serbian population in Kosovo in talks with Woodruff
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke today with Ohio National Guard Major General Matthew Woodruff, whom he briefed on the increasingly pronounced tensions in Kosovo in recent days, and also expressed concern about the situation and security of the Serbian population.
“I stressed the importance of a responsible approach by KFOR and all relevant actors in preserving peace and stability,” Vucic said on Instagram.
He said that his conversation with Major General Woodruff was a good one, covering plans and priorities for continuing activities under the State Partnership Program, the situation in the region and ways to further improve cooperation between Serbia and Ohio, based on many years of trust and partnership.
As he stressed, Serbia highly values its cooperation with the Ohio National Guard and the partnership they have built over the years through numerous joint activities and contacts.
“I believe that in the future we will continue to strengthen and expand it, contributing to a better understanding and stronger relations between Serbia and the United States,” Vucic said.
