Vucic: I will keep Zeman's advice about pressure for myself

At a joint press conference with the President of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, President Aleksandar Vucic, when asked by journalists how it was that the international community insisted on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, while the territorial integrity of Serbia had not been respected, said that "in return we receive threats".

"I told President Zeman that when some came to Serbia and asked us to respect something that they would like us to respect, and when I pulled out the UN Charter and all the possible agreements we had and asked them 'which of these will you respect', I got either silence or an arrogant agreement that this was not real and that if we wanted to look to the future, we should forget about all that, because who cares about papers," Vucic said.

Asked to comment on today's statement by Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, in which he stated that Kosovo had been hijacked by the international community, Vucic said that he would like to listen to Milanovic's statement in its entirety and that he would look at it carefully.

The President was also asked about the advice he had received from President Zeman, but he did not pass it on.

"Zeman said an important thing - when the country is facing heavy pressures, how should you behave, but I will keep the advice to myself. I am proud of our friendship, of our good relations. And if you had time, to walk the streets, you would see how much people love the Czechs. I wish Zeman good health and that he comes to Serbia many more times," Vucic said.
