Vucic: Pristina's goal is to expel "disobedient Serbs" from the north of Kosovo

The ultimate goal of Pristina and those who help them is the expulsion of Serbia from Kosovo, and in particular the expulsion of the "absolutely disobedient Serbian people from the north of Kosovo", Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic pointed out today.

Vucic, in his address to the media after the conversation with the SOC patriarch Porfirije, explained that this was why the criminalization of Serbs from the north was being used.

He assessed that yesterday's ban on entry into Kosovo, which the Pristina authorities imposed on Patriarch Porfirije, preventing him from going to the Patriarchate of Pec, spoke best of those who organized it, and that was only partly the Pristina regime.

"The whole day they were announcing that they would strongly condemn what Pristina did, and then they condemned it so strongly that I was ashamed to read it. It turned out that we Serbs are to blame for having a patriarch who wanted to go to his house, the Patriarchate of Pec. It is one of the biggest shames they could afford," he underlined.

Vucic pointed out that they could not steal the patriarch, nor the SPC, from the Serbian people in Kosovo.

He said that it was important to see the attitude of those who decided, primarily from the West, towards the Serbian people and Serbia.

"You saw in the announcement that they talk about freedom of movement and that the barricades, which the Serbs put up as a sign of protest, are a bigger problem than the ban on the Serbian patriarch from going to his sanctuary. Where, when you have such international supervision, can something like that happen," asked Vucic.

Vucic pointed out that the bottom line, why someone insisted so hysterically on the removal of the barricades, was that they wanted the Serbs to be expelled from the north of Kosovo.

"That's the only solution they see, the Albanians and the international community. Who cares about those barricades. No one goes south of the Ibar on those roads, they are used only by Serbs from the north, who in 99 percent support the barricades as a form of protest. Why are you in a hurry, why are you saying every day that time is running out," he said.

Vucic said that there were talks with representatives of the international community, that they were difficult, dynamic and serious, because it was necessary to represent the interest of the Serbian people in Kosovo.

He criticized the statements of Pristina officials that the Serbs were attacking their alleged territorial integrity with the barricades.

"That's said by those who, together with NATO countries, destroyed and trampled on the territorial integrity of Serbia, who are still trying to destroy it today, trampling on all agreements, including the Thessaloniki and Lisbon ones. They dare to talk such nonsense about territorial integrity. They come to threaten "we will let Kurti do whatever he needs to do". It's good to know that all of you also want conflicts, the killing of Serbs, you will rejoice in the death of Serbs, because it is more important for you to confirm the so-called territorial integrity of the so-called Kosovo than Serbian heads," he pointed out.

Vucic reminded that the Serbs went to the barricades because they said 10 years ago that there would be a CSM, so that they would be able to go to the referendum, then to the elections, and none of that was fulfilled.

He said that what the Serbs at the barricades as an expression of their protest were asking was not to arrest the people who were at the barricades.

"Don't arrest Serbs just because you don't like them," he said.

Vucic pointed out that Pristina and its supporters did not even respect Rasmussen's signature, because at that time there were no dreams of a Kosovo army, and they started to illegally form an army.

"This is not a problem, but the Serbian barricades, as an expression of protest against all the fabrications and craziness they caused with the aim of creating disorder," Vucic said.

He emphasized that talks were being held with representatives of the international community, with representatives of the EU and the USA, that Serbia included all its resources and is trying to do its best to preserve peace, to fight for peace, to reach a compromise solution.

"We will continue to work, to fight for peace, to find compromise solutions. I spoke with the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and I am ready to meet with them, because we want those people to be able to spend the Christmas holidays in their homes. Whether we get any window to slip through is not up to us. We had a similar crisis in July and September. Considering how things are unfolding, how they want to crush us, because of what is going on between Russia and Ukraine, so that Moscow would not use Kosovo, I have no doubt that it will continue", explained Vucic.

According to him, even if this situation is overcome, Pristina will cause new tensions in 15 days or a month.

He told the Serbs in Kosovo that whatever they did, Serbia was with them, and that it was not a political slogan.

"There is no surrender, brothers and sisters, Serbia is with you," he stressed.

Vucic thanked the Republic of Srpska and President Milorad Dodik for their support to the Serbs, the patriarch for his words of comfort and prayers of support for the Serbian people.
