Vucic: Serbia always ready for the dialogue; it is necessary that Pristina forms the CSM

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated during a meeting with the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue that Serbia was always ready for the dialogue, and for the respect of everything signed and agreed upon.

As announced by the Office for Media of the President of the Republic, Vucic reiterated that Serbia advocated for de-escalation, peace, and stability, which were necessary to ensure the survival of Serbs in Kosovo.

Once again, President Vucic briefed the EU Special Representative in detail on the gravity of the situation faced by Serbs, both north and south of the Ibar River.

He expressed hope for results in the ongoing dialogue process.

"During today's meeting, Vucic insisted on the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities, and other important topics within the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue were also discussed," the statement added.

With a meeting that lasted more than an hour, Vucic and Lajcak concluded the EU special envoy's visit to Belgrade. Earlier, he met with the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic.

After the meeting with Lajcak, Petkovic stated that the meeting between President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak had been serious, and that Belgrade had accepted Lajcak's invitation to continue talks in Brussels in two days, where discussions on the CSM statute text would take place.

Lajcak was in Pristina on November 7, where he met with Kosovo's chief negotiator Besnik Bislimi and representatives of the opposition in Kosovo, while the meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti did not take place.
