Vucic with Troccaz: Pristina's membership in the CoE a reward for discrimination and pressure on Serbs

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today in Belgrade with the special envoy of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Western Balkans, Rene Troccaz, and on that occasion pointed out that Pristina's membership in the Council of Europe would be a reward for its policy of discrimination and increasing pressure on the Serbian people in Kosovo.
Vucic, as he stated on Instagram, thanked France for the support it provided to Serbia on its European path as well as in the dialogue process with Pristina, including the respect for all agreements reached.
He emphasized that today's meeting with Troccaz was a continuation of the discussions he had conducted in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron and other top officials of France.
"We talked about the situation in the region, current geopolitical opportunities, and all the challenges that the two countries face in terms of security and preserving the international legal order. I particularly highlighted the absurdity of the so-called Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, through which Pristina, which consistently ignores all signed agreements, would practically be rewarded for its policy of discrimination and increasing pressure on the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija," Vucic stated.
As he emphasized, Serbia is a serious and responsible partner, keeping its word and approaching the resolution of common problems constructively, which, he added, is also expected from its interlocutors.
