Vucic: We will protect Kosovo and Metohija as part of Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated tonight that the color revolution in Serbia was organized with enormous funds, amounting to billions of euros, with the aim of preventing Serbia from safeguarding Kosovo and Metohija and from helping the Republic of Srpska, RTV reports.

"The color revolution was organized primarily because they wanted to bring down Serbia so that it could not protect Kosovo and Metohija and its people there, and so that Serbia could not assist its brothers and people in the Republic of Srpska. They tried to destroy it at all costs, using enormous funds—billions of euros—attempting everything, and now it has come to an end," Vucic said at a gathering in Smederevo.

He added that they will now attempt one final act of violence, but then it will be over. However, he pointed out that the last two months have been the worst in terms of foreign direct investment.

"They have done everything to devastate Serbia. We have never had two worse months for foreign direct investments in the past ten years than the last two. Everything they did was illegal. They blocked roads, prevented people from exercising their constitutional right to freedom of movement, and harassed people wherever they could. We were patient and restrained to ensure that we did not provoke a single incident," Vucic said.

He claimed that when they realized there were no incidents, they started provoking them daily in an attempt to claim they were being attacked.

"At first, they said I had no jurisdiction and that they wouldn’t come to me, but would they go to Brussels? Why are these whistlers waiting for me here, all three hundred of them, if I have no jurisdiction? If I am not in charge, why are they waiting for me? Why don’t they wait for someone else? It seems I am in charge, and their whistling only motivates me even more—not to whistle and blow vuvuzelas like them, but to fight for Serbia," Vucic said.

He sent a message to foreign actors whom he accused of organizing the events, stating that Kosovo is the heart of Serbia and that they will not be allowed to destroy the Republic of Srpska as planned.

"And let me tell you straight—those foreigners who organized all this—you hoped you could bring down Serbia. You pretend not to see the violence in parliament, the violence against children and students. If someone had done to other students what they did last night, they would have issued 50 statements.

But they won’t defend Serbian children, Serbian students, and those who want to learn. So, to those in Europe and the world: Kosovo and Metohija are the heart of Serbia, and we will not let you destroy the Republic of Srpska as you planned," Vucic declared.

He stated that much work remains to be done and that efforts will need to be redoubled. He also argued that those seeking to return to power would take Serbia back to the past, plunder it again, and pursue a policy of apologizing to everyone.

"I spoke yesterday with the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Putin told me: 'We know exactly what is happening in your country, we are watching, we are following everything, and we are aware of everything. Yes, it is clear that this is foreign interference, a color revolution, and the Russian Federation will always support you, the legally and legitimately elected leadership of Serbia. Stay strong and fight, President and friend,'" Vucic conveyed.

He questioned why others fail to see this, adding that even members of Trump’s administration have acknowledged it.

"I repeat once again: We will preserve Serbia’s freedom, independence, and sovereignty. We will protect Kosovo and Metohija as part of Serbia, and we will not let you destroy the Republic of Srpska as you planned," Vucic emphasized.
